Terms of use
These terms apply to anyone who uses Agora: member of a space, administrator or guest. They complement the terms of sale, which bind the publisher to the customer company.
Version of 1 November 2026
This is a translation provided for convenience. The French version is the one that applies.
Draft under legal review: this document does not yet bind the publisher and may change before it is published.
1. Who publishes Agora
Agora is published by , SIREN , whose registered office is at , . For any question: .
In these terms, “the publisher” means that company, “the customer” the company that subscribed to Agora, “the space” the customer's virtual office and “the user” anyone who accesses it.
2. What Agora is
Agora is an online virtual office: each person appears as an avatar, sees and hears nearby colleagues, joins meeting rooms, chats and shares their screen. It is available in a web browser and as a desktop app.
Depending on what the customer has chosen and turned on, Agora also offers meeting recording and transcription, automatically written meeting notes, an assistant, a link to a Microsoft or Google calendar and integrations with other tools.
3. Access and account
A space is entered with a Microsoft work account, a Google account, a code received by e-mail or the identity provider of one's company (SSO), as the customer allows. A guest enters without an account, through a time-limited link, once admitted by a member.
Users keep their sign-in means to themselves and tell their space's administrator if they believe someone else has used them. A session lasts 30 days at most; it ends earlier when signing out.
The space's administrator decides who enters it and with which role, and may withdraw access at any time.
4. Rules of use
Agora is a work tool. Users undertake in particular not to:
- publish or share content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful or harassing, or that infringes the privacy or rights of others;
- record, film or transcribe anyone other than through the features provided for this, which ask for their consent;
- share data they are not allowed to disclose, such as health or banking data, beyond what their company allows;
- try to access a space, account or data that is not theirs, or get around access controls;
- disrupt the service: automated mass sending, attacks, malware, load testing without the publisher's written consent;
- copy, decompile or resell Agora, or use it to build a competing service.
In case of breach, the publisher or the space's administrator may suspend the user's access, after warning them where possible.
5. Content
Messages, files, decorations, recordings and other content remain those of their authors and of the customer. Users are responsible for them and warrant that they have the right to share them.
The publisher uses them only to run the service: storing them, showing them to authorised people, transcribing or summarising them when the customer asked for it. It does not sell them or use them for advertising.
6. Recorded meetings, transcripts and meeting notes
Nothing is recorded or transcribed without every participant's consent: anyone may refuse, and a visible indicator shows that a capture is under way. The sound of anyone who has not consented is neither received nor kept.
Transcripts and meeting notes are produced automatically. They may contain mistakes: meeting notes should be read over before being shared or used as the basis for a decision.
Transcription runs on Agora's servers. Meeting notes and the assistant use the language model provider chosen by the platform or by the customer; names, e-mail addresses and phone numbers are masked before sending.
7. Availability
The publisher makes its best efforts to keep Agora available and secure, but does not guarantee that it will never be interrupted. It may interrupt the service for maintenance, with advance notice when the maintenance is planned.
[To be confirmed: any availability commitment, in the terms of sale.]
8. Intellectual property
Agora, its code, texts, character design and illustrations belong to the publisher. Users receive the right to use it, for the customer's purposes, while their access is open; no other right is granted to them.
Suggestions users send the publisher to improve Agora may be used freely, without compensation.
9. Personal data
For the content of a space, the customer is the controller and the publisher acts on its behalf. For the website, accounts and billing, the publisher is the controller. The details are in the privacy policy.
10. Changes to these terms
The publisher may change these terms, in particular to follow changes in the service or the law. A significant change is announced in Agora in advance; continuing to use the service afterwards means accepting it.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute is first handled amicably, by writing to .
[To be confirmed: competent court for users who are not the customer itself.]
